· Up to 2 hrs. of music whilst the drinks are being served.

Terms and Conditions

 

Deposit   

In accordance with the Consumer Rights Act 2015, if you, “the client”, wish to cancel prior to the performance date and outside the notice periods set below, Taliesin Strings may return part of the deposit to cover reasonable costs. Should you, “the client”, require it, Taliesin Strings will provide a clear document explaining what will be claimed for and how much each task costs per hour. If due to unforeseen circumstances your wedding is postponed to a later date, the deposit will be carried forward.

 

 

Cancellation

There is a 14 day “cooling off period” where you, “the client”, is entitled to cancel without incurring any charges within that period. However, if the performance takes place within this 14 day period, Taliesin Strings will be entitled to payment in full.

If your wedding is cancelled, the following charges will apply:

Less than 3 months – 50 per cent of the full fee.

Less than 6 weeks – fee payable in full.

These charges apply as it’s likely the quartet/trio have turned down another engagement to secure your date.

Force majeure clause

In the event of a pandemic, war or strikes, Taliesin Strings will offer to postpone the performance of the contract up to 12 months with no fee increase. For periods longer, extra charges may apply.

 

Balance

The remaining balance will be due in full, 2 months prior to the engagement.

 

Time Changes

We appreciate that times are not set in stone when organising a big event and aim to be as flexible as possible. However, we cannot guarantee to accommodate changes made less than four weeks prior to the day as we may have another engagement to go to.

 

On the day

Please make sure you have notified the venue that you have booked a quartet/trio and there is adequate space and seating for us to play. If you would like us to play outside, please check that the performance area is sufficiently sheltered from wind and direct sunlight. On the day, it is entirely at the discretion of the players whether it is possible to do so comfortably.

Refreshments – We would like tea/coffee to be provided and on longer events, sandwiches to be provided by the venue/caterers – if this is not possible, please notify us.

 

Breaks

The quartet/trio will take 10-minute breaks for every hour of playing. When sandwiches are provided, we will take them when the first course of your meal is being served.

 

Quartet/Trio Personnel

As you will see from the photos on our website & social media, we use a number of associate players. They are of the highest calibre and know our repertoire well and you will have ample opportunity to meet and hear them play at various wedding fayres throughout the year. We cannot guarantee which of our players are available for your event but be assured that quality of performance won’t be compromised.

Insurance

The quartet/trio have public liability insurance which covers the use of a PA system should and when it be required at larger events and personal insurance cover in the unfortunate event that an accident should occur.

 

Videoing/Recording

 Videoing /recording is acceptable in “passing” (background music) but please ask permission for any other recording. Please DO NOT upload any performance on to social media/YouTube without our consent.

 

These Terms and Conditions may not be modified or cancelled except by mutual consent, in writing and signed by both parties. Taliesin String Quartet 2022.
